Fishing – Five Acre Lake Stocked with Bass, Brim and Catfish

The 5-acre lake at Wild Magnolia Plantation was created to provide all forms of wildlife with a constant source of water, as well as, a premium fishing habitat.  Nothing is worse than or less beautiful then a hole dug in the ground and filled with water.  Every effort was made, with this custom built pond, to make it appear natural.  Four areas with springs are feeding the lake ensuring that the lake has water, even in times of drought.  Holes were dug in the bottom of the lake and filled with stumps to provide fish spawning areas.  The lake is stocked with bluegill bream and red ear bream to control the aquatic growth in the lake.  As well as, largemouth bass and channel catfish, which control the bream population.  The pond will be a centerpiece at Wild Magnolia Plantation for generations to come.
